Cardi B grew up in the Bronx in the united state of America. Her real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, Born on October 11, 1992 in New York City. She has a Dominican father and a Trinidadian mother of African and Spanish descent and she identifies as an Afro-Latina.

The hip-hop star was a member of the Bloods gang in her teenage years and worked as a stripper before shooting to fame online with her sassy Instagram videos.

Belcalis joined the cast of love and hip-hop: New York in 2015 and starred on the VH1 reality show for two seasons before quitting to pursue a career in music. After releasing two volumes of her Gangster bitch mixtapes in 2016 and 2017, she signed a bumper deal with Atlantic Records.

Cardi’s maiden album, Invasion of Privacy, came out in the year2018. Her singles “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first female rapper to have two chart-toppers. Later she won Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

She has collaborated with many artists over the years, including DJ Khaled, DJ Snake, Maroon 5, Bruno MarsJennifer Lopez and Ed Sheeran. Her 2018 duet with Maroon 5, “Girls Like You,” and her 2020 smash with Megan Thee Stallion, Wap’ also topped the Billboard Hot 100.

Cardi B made her big-screen debut in the 2019 crime drama Hustlers. That same year, she Became a judge on the Netflix music competition Rhythm + Flow with Chance the Rapper and T.I. Cardi B has been dating Migos member Offset since early. They married that September but did not announce the news until June 2018. The couple welcomed their daughter, Kulture, in July 2018. Cardi filed for divorce in 2020.
